The best time to visit Botswana is during the dry winter months from May to October, when wildlife viewing is at its best around waterholes and rivers.

How many days should I spend in Botswana?
We recommend at least 7–10 days if you want to explore both the Okavango Delta and Chobe, and possibly include Victoria Falls. Shorter safaris are also available.
Do I need a visa to visit Botswana?
Most travellers do not need a visa to enter Botswana for tourism if staying up to 90 days. This includes citizens of the UK, US, EU countries, Australia, Canada, and many others.

What’s the difference between Chobe and the Okavango Delta?
Chobe is famous for boat safaris and large elephant herds, while the Delta offers mokoro trips and remote water-based camps. Both offer excellent wildlife but different landscapes.
Can I start my Botswana safari from Victoria Falls?
Yes — many tours start or end in Victoria Falls with easy connections to Chobe National Park and beyond.
What currency is used in Botswana?
Botswana’s official currency is the Botswana Pula (BWP).
You can use credit or debit cards at most lodges, hotels, and shops in towns. In more remote areas, it’s a good idea to carry some cash. ATMs are available in major towns like Maun and Kasane.
Tip: US dollars are accepted at some lodges and for tipping, but Pula is best for everyday use.
Will I see the Big 5 in Botswana?
You can usually see four of the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo) in most major parks. Rhinos are rare and usually found only in specific areas like Khama Rhino Sanctuary or private reserves.
Is Botswana good for birdwatching?
Yes — especially during the green season (Nov–Apr) when migratory birds arrive. The Okavango Delta and Moremi are top birding spots.
Can I combine Botswana with Namibia or South Africa?
Absolutely. Many overland and small group tours include Namibia, Victoria Falls, or even start in Johannesburg. Please get in touch with us to discuss options.
What kind of vehicles are used on safari?
Most game drives are in open 4×4 safari vehicles. Overland tours sometimes use custom trucks for long-distance travel with proper seating and storage.
Is Botswana good for solo travellers?

Are the tours suitable for older travellers?
